It’s my favorite festival Time of the year again. HOLI is just around the corner and I have made all my plans for celebrating this year with friends and family. I love playing with colors, water, and flowers. We all fear Skin damage because of chemical colors- one way to avoid skin damage is by taking care and only play HOLI with organic colors.

Thank You 2018-For being Fabulous

The year 2018 has been a year for many achievements and many Failures. Instagram has been on its ever high for most of us entrepreneurs, blogger, service industry like spa, salon & cafe, retailers and social media marketers. Analysts predict that the year 2019 is going to be a year for Stories on FB & IG.

I have been successful in creating 150 Instagram posts, 30000 views for my first Youtube video, Hosted a MAC event at EA mall, created a fun video for Phoenix market city Chennai for children’s day. A video for express avenue mall how a plus size women achieve different looks at the mall, hosted my Webpage made a shift from Blogspot, this is my first post on the Webpage. Amaltas is my startup in which I organize popup/exhibitions and this year I hosted 3 pop-ups.

Year just went past super busy and had no time for the unnecessary gossip and boredom. Someone had rightly said to me once, that keep it going and do not stop even after you fail. Today 29th December 2 days for the new year 2019 to begin, I am counting all my all Blessings. The journey was very beautiful and Will not be complete if I do not thank those whom I met and made some amazing new friends.

Have a great opening in the coming January -THE CONSCIOUS MARKET -Powered by EA mall. I learnt many new things this year and I am all set explore new beginnings in 2019.

The cafe introduced, ANTARI-Baked fresh in an oven with zero preservatives, pure vegetarian. Thank you for having me over.

Coach launch
Coach, By Genesis Luxury, has launched their outlet in The Palladium Mall, Chennai this month.Karisma Kapoor the charismatic actress was there at the launch. Along the great legacy of the Kapoors’ she was very humble and allowed us to get some pics clicked. For all the Bag lovers finally, the wait is over and the city has its own Coach store.

Shaze luxury
Shaze invited over a high tea to experience their latest range of eclectic style. Shopping is an experience but while looking for gifting we are restricted to choices. With Shaze luxury at The Palladium Mall Chennai, gifting is also an experience.I was very thrilled and excited with the beautiful crystal earrings they gifted to me. me over.

Da Vinchi
The brand opened its flagship outlet at The Palladium Mall Chennai. Designing in premium leather shoes especially for men and women is already a very popular brand of metro shoes. The very beautifully designed store can be a great option for shopping next time when you need those perfect shoes. Thank you Red Consulting.

Top Coat
A nail salon had launched with a high tea at a premium hotel in the city. The spa is well equipped with all the advanced technology in the spa industry. Thank You Shibi Kumaramangalam for taking me along, had a lovely time together.

Innisfree
The Korean skincare company launched its first store in Chennai in Phoenix market city. Korean brand is very popular for the ingredients which are sourced from the Jeju islands. The brand also has a good marketing strategy by giving so many free samples.They are not very highly priced also. This was all in the month of April really looking forward to the upcoming months.

Cotton dress For Plus Size

*Reuse ~Recycle~Reduce* are the 3 words to save our Planet Earth from landfills of waste cloth on its surface. I find myself very lucky to be born in India, the land of cotton. Cotton is one such biodegradable fabric that can be *Recycled*. There are many types of cotton fabrics and one of them is *Ajrakh*. This summer, I was introduced to this fabric by *Turquoise*the store.

They manufacture and design natural fabrics from generations. Also, They not only design garments using handmade cotton but also use natural dyes. The process of ‘Ajrakh’ is long. It is block printed with a resistant paste and then dyed. Eventually, the entire process takes two weeks resulting in beautiful eye-catching patterns of Ajrakh. The technique used in the fabric of my dress is brush print and customized to my size.

The dress worn by me was gifted by *Turquoise* the store.’Ridhi-the the designer has designed the dress in 2 pieces where one is the jacket. The fabric is super comfortable for Indian summers, especially where I live Chennai. When a soothing fabric and well-designed dress come together can be worn in the day as well as for parties at night. I have styled this look from a simple day look to a party look by adding a gold statement neckpiece and heels.

I’m super thrilled and excited to review because it’s from my birthplace. New Designer on the BLOCK-”Taraasi Silhouette”.A must-have dress for all plus size in their wardrobes. This is an “A” line cut dress in neutral color looks fabulous on any body type. Whether you are an Hourglass shaped, Rectangular shaped or a Pear shape body type. This Dress is well stitched in Chinese collar Neck and Full sleeves. Any Dress that fits well makes one feel very happy and comfortable. Above all expectations, the dress had fitted me well and has become one of my favorites in my wardrobe. The applique work on this dress is done beautifully in coordinating colors of yellow and white. When it comes to choosing a dress I always select colors first and brown color was always a “NO” in my list of colors. But this Brown Cotton blend fabric was myth-breaking. I have styled it in a semi-formal look with golden Sneakers and Earrings. I can style this look with beige pants or a legging as a tunic or a kurti formally.

We like to eat spicy food, the clothes we wear are bright and colorful. We celebrate weddings and festivals with Band Baaja and Baarat. Weddings these days have become really big with at least 10 events to attend for a single marriage invite. When we have so many events then that many dresses to wear too!!!. Being a plus size I have a big time trouble choosing the right clothes for a DJ night at weddings. So very interestingly I found HALF FULL CURVE a Lakme fashion week designer collection at AQUAAB in Chennai. Aquaab is a multi-designer store headed by Farida Khan above the store is a 2-floor institute of fashion design-INIFD.So the dress that I really liked in purple color with side cowl and nice sequence embellishments’ suitable for a cocktail dinner party. With hair left loose and neat makeup with Valliyan choker I completed the look. When it comes to dressing up I love to accessories. So this golden choker with beads just was my pick from the store.

The second look was a kaftan mustard dress for an afternoon formal resort lunch.I Teamed up big with chunky earring’s from Grazia, for this antique work dress. Less is more girls, stay minimalistic and slay in this stylish dress. This kaftan dress can also be worn with well-fitted leggings in case you are at a cold destination.The clothes have a very good feel the fabric is pure and little detailing kept in mind while designing for plus size women was fantastic. The cuts are contemporary, why only the thin fair girls get all the different cuts and silhouettes’ time for us curvy ladies to flaunt the curves and embrace everybody.
